Honed
Campaspero Limestone is a carbonate stone of sedimentary origin, extracted from the quarries of the Castilian plateau, in the province of Valladolid. Its grayish-white tone, with beige nuances and subtle natural variations characteristic of its lacustrine formation millions of years ago, brings a serene luminosity and an understated elegance that are difficult to imitate. The occasional presence of gastropod fossils and small shells gives each piece a unique character, an unrepeatable geological signature that connects the project to the natural history of the land.
Beyond its aesthetic value, Campaspero Limestone is a stone of proven solidity, with high hardness and excellent abrasion resistance that make it especially suited for façades and exterior cladding as well as high-traffic paving and prestige interiors. Its great suitability for carving makes it the material of choice for masonry pieces, columns, and sculptural work at any level of detail.
It can be worked in a wide range of finishes — honed, polished, bush-hammered, sandblasted, or saw-cut — adapting with equal naturalness to contemporary architecture projects and to interventions in historic heritage.
It's part of our exclusive Rubio Selection range. Materials sourced from the quarries of established strategic partners, processed and finished at our headquarters in Borges Blanques to the highest quality standards and with the Rubio Natural Stone guarantee.
