Amber Travertine is a stone of sedimentary origin from the Iberian Peninsula, formed over millennia by the precipitation of calcium carbonate onto beds of organic matter in groundwater areas. From that process comes its most singular character: a toasted base of warm tones, ranging between beige, ochre, oranges, and grays, dotted with countless slightly lighter areas and with the natural cavities or pockets that the formation process itself has left as a trace. It is, in that sense, a stone that carries time inscribed on its surface: it doesn't imitate nature, it is nature.
Its technical versatility is as notable as its visual richness. The treatment of its cavities — left open for a more organic, rustic result, filled in a stone tone for a more homogeneous reading, or sealed with transparent resin to preserve the visible porosity with greater impermeability — multiplies its expressive possibilities and adapts it to very different registers, from the Mediterranean warmth of an exterior to the sophisticated sobriety of a high-design interior. Its main finishes — polished, honed, sandblasted, and aged — allow it to move with equal naturalness between the most contemporary luminosity and the most material texture, with the aged and open-pore being its most authentic and sought-after expressions. Its warm palette and organic texture make it a material of exceptional combination: it dialogues with equal ease with natural wood, wrought iron, and the purest whites.
