Undertaking a landscape restoration project in a historic park involves far more than executing a construction job. It means thoroughly understanding the cultural value of the place, respecting its memory and, at the same time, offering solutions that meet today's demands for use and conservation. The purpose in this case was to restore the original identity of the space, reinforce its singular character and ensure it continues to be a vibrant meeting point for visitors and citizens alike.
One of the main challenges was ensuring the integration of the new pavements with the existing elements. To this end, our DUNA sandstone was used, mostly in cobblestone format, thanks to its resistance and warm tones that evoke the traditional aesthetic of historic stone. Its versatility allowed both the high-traffic areas and the most representative zones of the park to be successfully addressed, maintaining a visual and technical balance with the surroundings.
Thanks to the close collaboration between the design, restoration and material supply teams, the result combines heritage preservation and contemporary functionality. The use of DUNA sandstone not only ensured the aesthetic authenticity of the ensemble but also provided the durability needed to extend the lifespan of the spaces. A project that demonstrates how tradition and innovation can go hand in hand in the conservation of historic landscapes.
